What happens when you delete your account
When you request account deletion through this form, we will permanently remove the following data associated with your SYP account:
- Your profile information (name, email, bio, photo)
- All Plans you have created
- Activity participation history
- Match history and join requests
- All chat messages you have sent or received
- Uploaded images
- Inferred data and matching preferences
- Device and usage data
Timeline
Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days. You will not be able to recover your account or any associated data once the deletion is complete.
Data retention
Certain data may be retained after deletion where required by law:
- Billing records — retained for 5 years in accordance with accounting and tax obligations
- Safety-related data — retained for up to 3 months following account closure for safety and moderation purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy
Before you proceed: If you have an active subscription, please cancel it first via your device's App Store or Google Play Store subscription settings. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription.
